A circuit with three splendid golf courses nestled in the broad plains and rolling
foothills of an area with an unexpected wealth of hidden treasures, castles, churches,
picturesque old towns and age-old cellars where the prime-cut ham known as Culatello
di Zibello, Parma Ham and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese are aged to perfection.
FIRST DAY - Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
SECOND DAY – Breakfast and morning and first afternoon dedicated to practice
golf in the Golf Club La Rocca in Sala Baganza (18 holes). Lunch in the Golf Club
House. Tour of the Torrechiara Castle. Tour of a ham factory of the Prosciutto
di Parma with tasting. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
THIRD DAY – Breakfast and morning dedicated to golf in the Golf Club Matilde
di Canossa (18 holes). Free lunch. Late afternoon visit to an “Acetaia” a vinegar
loft where Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia (Traditional Balsamic
Vinegar of Reggio Emilia) is made. Dinner in a typical restaurant in Parma or
in a Verdi haunt with a musical aperitif. Overnight stay at the hotel.
FOURTH DAY – Breakfast and morning dedicated to golf in the Salsomaggiore Golf
& Country Club (18 holes). Lunch in the Golf Club House. Return to the hotel.
Afternoon dedicated to the wellness treatments “acquaform” (thermal wellness)
in the thermal centre of Salsomaggiore Terme. Visit to a cellar of the Culatello
di Zibello with tasting. Dinner in a typical restaurant of the lowlands or on
the banks of the Po river. Return and overnight stay at the hotel.
FIFTH DAY - Morning dedicated to the visit of Parma’s old town centre: Cathedral,
Baptistery, Farnese Theatre. Free lunch. Departure. |
